Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • butter or margarine - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • vegetable shortening - 2/3 c
  • plain flour
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla flavor - 1 Tbsp
  • bag semi-sweet chocolate chips or 6 oz - 12 oz

How to make chewy chocolate chip cookies:

Cream together first 4 ingredients, add remaining ingredients and stir. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet about 10 minutes at 375°. Cookies will look soft when removed from oven.
