Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 3
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- cornmeal - 1 Tbsp
- Pour into pie shell
How to make chess pie:
Mix ingredients well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375° for approximately 30 minutes or until set.Variations: For chocolate, increase sugar to 1 cup and melt two 1 ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate in scalded milk.For coconut, add 1 cup moist, shredded coconut to filling. Sprinkle 1/2 cup coconut over meringue before browning.
