Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 4 item
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • lemon juice
  • cornmeal - 2 Tbsp
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item

How to make chess pie:

Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs one at a time. Add milk, cornmeal, vinegar, lemon juice and salt. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° and bake until set, about 45 minutes.
