- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- coconut - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/3 c
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- jar cherries - 1/2 item
- jar maraschino cherries, chopped - 1/2 item
- Add sugar
How to make cherry pound cake:
Cream shortening and margarine. Add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and almond extracts. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flour alternately with milk. Fold in 1/2 jar of cherries Bake in tube pan at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Icing:3 oz. cream cheese1/2 stick margarine2 c. confectioners sugar1/2 jar cherries1 tsp. vanilla extract1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. chopped nuts Cream margarine and cream cheese.
