Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
- candied cherries, halved - 2 c
How to make cherry-nut slices:
Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour slowly, mixing well. Stir in nuts and cherries. Chill. Divide dough into 3 parts. Shape into rolls 10-inches long. Wrap in wax paper sprinkled with powdered sugar. Chill 3 hours or until firm. Cut into 1/8-inch slices. Place on ungreased sheet 1-inch apart.
