- Crisco - 1 c
- sugar - 3 c
- almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- sweet milk - 3/4 c
- jar cherries, chopped fine - 1/2 item
- margarine - 1/2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour, sifted

- vanilla - 1 tsp
- shredded coconut - 1/2 c
- small amount of cherry juice - 1 item
- jar cherries, chopped - 1/2 item
- stick margarine, room temperature - 1/2 item
- confectioners sugar, sifted - 2 c
- pecans, chopped fine - 1/2 c
How to make cherry nut pound cake:
Icing:3 oz. pkg. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. shredded coconut small amount of cherry juice1/2 jar cherries, chopped1/2 stick margarine, room temperature2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine To make cake, cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, flavoring and cherries. Add milk and flour alternately. Pour 1/2 jar of cherry juice. Place in cold oven. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.To make icing, blend together all the icing ingredients and spread on cake.
