Cherry muffins
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- frozen or canned cherries - 1 c
How to make cherry muffins:
Combine first 4 ingredients. Drain cherries well; cut into halves, if cherries are large. Toss cherries in flour mixture to coat.In a small bowl, beat eggs; add butter and milk. Stir into flour mixture just to blend. Do not overmix. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Sprinkle lightly with topping (sugar and cinnamon). Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Serve warm or they freeze well.
