  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • whipped topping - 9 oz
  • to 2 cans cherry pie filling - 1 item

How to make cherry crunch:

Preheat oven to 350°. Melt margarine in 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Add flour and pecans. Blend well, then spread evenly in pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.

In mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla, cream cheese and whipped topping. Spread mixture evenly over crust. Put cherries on top of cream layer. Refrigerate for 3 hours. Blueberry pie filling may be used instead.
