  • eggs - 3 item
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • butter or margarine - 5 Tbsp
  • chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg
  • can cherry fruit pie filling - 1 oz

How to make cherry-chocolate cake:

Frosting:1 c. sugar5 Tbsp. butter or margarine1/3 c. milk1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels Combine cake mix with eggs and cherry fruit filling by hand (do not use mixer). Mix until well blended. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake springs back. When cool, frost as follows.

Frosting: In a saucepan, combine the sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate pieces until melted and smooth. Spread over cake. Yum!
