Cherry chocolate cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/3 c
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- can cherry pie filling - 1 oz
- margarine - 5 Tbsp
- chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- chopped pecans optional - 1 item
- no water
How to make cherry chocolate cake:
Icing:*1 c. sugar5 Tbsp. margarine1/3 c. milk1 c. chocolate chips chopped pecans (optional) * Can just use ready-made chocolate icing.Cake: Mix cake ingredients in mixing bowl by hand with a spoon (until blended well). Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan or for a sheet cake pan use a 15 x 10-inch pan with an edge. Bake at 350° for 25 to 35 minutes.
Icing: Mix sugar, margarine and milk in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir for 1 minute after boiling. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Spread over warm cake and sprinkle with pecans.
