Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • pkg - 3 oz
  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
  • stick melted butter - 1 item
  • crushed vanilla wafers
  • can cherry pie mix - 1 item

How to make cherry cheesecake:

Combine first 3 ingredients and press into spring-form pan. In mixer, cream the cream cheese and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla. Spoon into crust and bake 25 minutes at 375°. Take out immediately. Beat together sour cream and lemon juice. Spread this on top of cheesecake and bake 5 minutes at 500°. Take out immediately. Chill overnight. Spoon can of pie mix over cake and garnish with nuts.
