- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- sugar - 3/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- tart red cherries - 1 c
How to make cherry bread:
In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, soda and salt. Set aside.In a large bowl, cream sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Mix until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with the 1 cup of buttermilk. Beat until just blended after each addition. Fold in pecans and cherries. Turn into a lightly greased pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 60 minutes. Use a glaze after cooled.
