Cherokee casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1/8 tsp
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- finely chopped onion - 3/4 c
- small bay leaf - 1/2 item
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
- stuffed olives, sliced - 6 item
- instant onion - 1 c
- or 3 slices American cheese, cut in 1/2-inch strips - 2 item
- can tomatoes rinse can using 1/2 c - 1 lb
How to make cherokee casserole:
Brown meat in olive oil; add onion and cook until tender. Stir in all other ingredients except 3 of the olives and the cheese. Use the ingredients in the order that they are listed. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and let simmer five minutes. Spoon into a baking dish and top with cheese. Broil until cheese melts and top with remaining olive slices.
