Cheesy potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- cream - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- sliced onion - 1/3 c
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- potatoes, cubed - 6 item
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- brown mustard - 2 tsp
How to make cheesy potatoes:
Grease a 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish; set aside. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water. Preheat oven to 350°.Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add onion; cook, stirring until soft. Add flour; cook, stirring 1 minute. Gradually add milk, cream, mustard, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cook until thickened. Pour over potatoes and cover with shredded cheese. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
