Ingredients/Components

  • canola or vegetable oil - 1/3 c
  • pack onion soup mix - 1 item
  • to 6 regular sized potatoes depending on how much you want - 5 item
  • bag mild shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 item

How to make cheesy potatoes:

Heat oven to 400°. Mix oil and onion soup mix in a large bowl. Peel and cut potatoes in potato chip slices. Put potatoes in bowl with mixture of oil and onion soup mix and stir until all potatoes are basted well. Pour potatoes along with remaining oil mixture into a baking dish lined with aluminum foil. Cover the potatoes with aluminum foil. Bake for 1 hour. Take out of oven and cover top with cheese; re-cover with aluminum foil and let sit until cheese melts. Now you're ready to eat!
