Cheesy chicken chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- all purpose flour - 1/3 c
- diced onion - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 4 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- cooked, chopped chicken - 2 c
- diced carrots - 1 c
- diced potatoes
- loaf process cheese spread, cubed
How to make cheesy chicken chowder:
Combine first five ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Melt butter in Dutch oven over low heat; add flour stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly. Gradually stir in vegetable mixture, soy sauce, cheese and chicken.
