Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla
- pkg
- sour cream
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
How to make cheesecake:
Filling:3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese5 eggs1 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Topping:1 1/2 pt. sour cream1/2 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Crust: Mix together and press against sides and bottom of a 9 or 10-inch spring-form pan.Filling: Have cheese at room temperature. Beat well with mixer until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add sugar and vanilla. Stir well. Pour into crust. Bake for 1 hour at 300° or until center is set.
Topping: Mix topping while cake is baking. When cake is done while still hot, pour topping over cake and return to oven at 300° for 5 minutes. Cool and refrigerate for several hours, preferably overnight.
Note: This cake does not freeze well. However, if covered securely with foil, it holds very well in refrigerator.
