Cheeseburger pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1/2 oz
- fine bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- ground beef or turkey - 1 lb
- Mix in rest of ingredients
- chopped bell pepper if desired - 1/4 c
- pastry for 9-inch pie deep dish crust
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Brown meat; drain off fat. Mix in rest of ingredients. Spread in pie shell.Cheese Topping:8 oz. cheese (your choice), grated1 egg, beaten1/4 c. milk1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Mix ingredients together; spread over meat filling. Bake at 425° for about 30 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce. Serves 8.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Vegetables, Beef.
