Cheeseburger pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- catsup - 1/2 c
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- unbaked 9-inch pastry pie shell see Plain Pastry recipe on page 47 - 1 item
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Combine ground beef, milk, catsup, crumbs, onion, salt, oregano and pepper. Spread in unbaked pastry shell. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Toss together cheese and Worcestershire; spread over meat. Bake 10 minutes more. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Vegetables, Beef.
