Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- chili sauce - 1/2 c
- ground meat - 1 lb
- Italian bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- chopped red or green peppers - 1/4 c
- Cheese Topping:1 egg
- garlic powder sprinkled on meat - 1 item
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Cheese Topping:1 egg1/4 c. milk1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Beat egg. Stir in rest of ingredients. Heat oven to 425°. Prepare pastry for 9-inch pie pan. Brown meat and drain. Stir in seasonings, onions, peppers, bread crumbs and chili sauce. Turn into pastry-lined pan. Spread cheese topping over filling. Bake 30 minutes.Stir together remaining sauce with chili sauce and serve with pie as condiment.
