  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • self-rising flour - 3 c
  • margarine - 1/2 lb
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • New York sharp cheese any brand - 1/2 lb
  • paprika or red pepper - 1/2 tsp

How to make cheese wafers:

Cream butter and cheese; add salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar and flour to creamed mixture. Roll dough into small balls and flatten. Bake at 275° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool thoroughly. Store in airtight container. Keeps for weeks in freezer or refrigerator.
