Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
  • chopped parsley - 2 tsp
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
  • oregano, crushed - 3/4 tsp
  • box jumbo shells - 1 item
  • spaghetti sauce 32 oz - 4 c
  • Ricotta cheese, or well-drained cottage cheese - 3 c

How to make cheese-stuffed shells:

Cook jumbo shells as directed. Drain and dry in a single layer. In bowl, combine cheeses with beaten eggs, salt, parsley, oregano and pepper. Fill shell with about 2 tablespoons cheese mixture. Spread some sauce in a thin layer in bottom of 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Place stuffed shells in single layer. Pour some sauce on top. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until hot. Heat remaining sauce and serve with shells. Makes about 10 servings.
