Cheese-stuffed meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water - 1/3 1/2
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- minced onion - 1/4 c
- dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- oregano, crushed - 1/8 tsp
- can condensed tomato soup - 1 item
- medium clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- cubes 12-inch mild cheese - 12 item
How to make cheese-stuffed meatballs:
Thoroughly mix beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion and salt. Divide into 12 parts. Shape meat firmly around each cheese cube to form meatballs. Brown in skillet in shortening. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients; cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done. Stir now and then. Makes 3 to 4 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Pork loins.
