Ingredients/Components
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- flour plain
- stick oleo - 1 item
- red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- extra sharp cheese - 8 oz
How to make cheese straws:
Grate cheese into large bowl and let stand at room temperature until softened. Add oleo. Mix salt, pepper and flour. Gradually work into cheese-butter mixture. Blend until smooth. Using a cookie press, squeeze out cheese straws onto ungreased baking sheets. Cut into 2 to 3-inch lengths. Bake for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden.
