Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sharp cheddar cheese - 1 lb
- cups plain flour, sift - then measure - 3 item
How to make cheese straws:
Grate cheese. Soften cheese and butter to room temperature. Mix salt and pepper into flour. Stir into cheese and butter mixture. Using cookie press, form into straws on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until very lightly browned around edges. May also be rolled into balls and flattened with fork before baking. May be frozen.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, < 15 mins, Cheese.
