Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 8 oz
- butter - 1/4 c
- grated carrots - 2 item
- chicken broth - 2 cans
- minced fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
- green onions, chopped - 3 item
- sherry - 3 Tbsp
- shakes Tabasco sauce - 3 item
- cream of potato soup - 3 cans
- stalks celery, chopped with some leaves - 3 item
How to make cheese soup:
Melt butter and saute onions, celery and carrots over low heat. Add chicken broth and simmer 30 minutes. Add potato soup, cheese, parsley, Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper. Stir in sour cream and simmer 15 minutes. Add sherry. Stir and serve. Yields 10 cups.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
