Cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/8 tsp
- diced celery - 1 c
- hot pepper sauce - 1/8 tsp
- diced carrots - 1 c
- chicken stock - 6 c
- diced onions - 1 c
- can beer - 1 oz
- shredded sharp cheese - 1 c
How to make cheese soup:
In soup pot, saute carrots, celery and onions in vegetable oil until browned. Add chicken broth and simmer 45 minutes. In medium bowl, dredge cheese with flour; stir gradually into simmering soup. Add pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir. Add beer; stir well. Makes about 8 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
