Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/8 tsp
  • diced celery - 1 c
  • hot pepper sauce - 1/8 tsp
  • diced carrots - 1 c
  • chicken stock - 6 c
  • diced onions - 1 c
  • can beer - 1 oz
  • shredded sharp cheese - 1 c

How to make cheese soup:

In soup pot, saute carrots, celery and onions in vegetable oil until browned. Add chicken broth and simmer 45 minutes. In medium bowl, dredge cheese with flour; stir gradually into simmering soup. Add pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir. Add beer; stir well. Makes about 8 servings.
