Cheese scalloped potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- butter or oleo, melted - 1 Tbsp
- can condensed Cheddar cheese soup - 1 item
- sour cream sauce mix - 1 pkg
How to make cheese scalloped potatoes:
Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender; drain and slice thinly. Combine soup, sour cream sauce mix, milk, salt and pepper. Place half of potatoes in 1 1/2-quart greased casserole dish and top with half the soup mixture. Repeat with remaining potatoes and soup mixture. Combine melted butter and bread crumbs. Sprinkle over top. Cover and bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Side dish, Potato.
