Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- medium onion - 1 item
- stuffed olives, chopped - 1 pt
- can tuna, drained - 1 oz
- aged Cheddar cheese spread - 1 lb
- green peppers, seeds removed - 2 item
- to 24 hard French rolls - 18 item
How to make cheese rolls:
Chop cheese, peppers, onions and tuna real fine. Add olives, butter and tomato sauce and mix. Cut off tops of rolls and remove centers. Fill with mixture and wrap each roll in heavy waxed paper. Twist ends securely, place in paper bag and heat in slow oven (300°) for 20 minutes. Serve at once. Serves 9 to 12.A covered roaster may be used instead of paper bag. Place rolls in roaster without waxed paper, cover and heat.
