Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- egg whites, beaten stiff - 2 item
- margarine - 1 c
- Cheddar cheese - 1/4 lb
- loaf firm, unsliced white bread - 1 item
How to make cheese puffs:
Trim crusts off bread, cut into 2-inch cubes. Melt cheese and margarine in double boiler. Remove from heat and fold in egg whites. Dip cubes into mixture until well coated. Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. Makes 3 dozen.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Appetizers, Cheese.
