Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- slices American cheese - 6 item
- Miracle Whip - 1 item
- slices sandwich bread - 6 item
- cornflake crumbs - 1 item
- Batter:1 egg, well beaten
How to make cheese frenchee:
Batter:1 egg, well beaten1/2 c. milk1/2 tsp. salt3/4 c. flour Spread slices of bread with Miracle Whip. Place cheese between bread to make 3 sandwiches. Cut each sandwich diagonally to get 4 triangles.Mix ingredients for batter together until blended. May be slightly lumpy. Coat each sandwich with batter, then coat it with cornflake crumbs. Deep fat fry at 375° until golden brown approximately 3 minutes. It is helpful to freeze before frying.
