Ingredients/Components
- boiling water - 2 c
- potatoes, chopped - 2 c
- carrots - 1/2 c
- celery - 1/2 c
- onion - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper optional - 1 item
- margarine - 1/4 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- milk - 2 c
- Cheddar cheese 10 oz
How to make cheese chowder:
Combine water, vegetables and seasoning in large pan. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Do not drain. Make white sauce with oleo, flour and milk; add cheese. Stir until melted. Add corn and undrained vegetables. Heat. Do not boil.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chicken, Chowders.
