Ingredients/Components

  • boiling water - 2 c
  • potatoes, chopped - 2 c
  • carrots - 1/2 c
  • celery - 1/2 c
  • onion - 1/4 c
  • salt and pepper optional - 1 item
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • milk - 2 c
  • Cheddar cheese 10 oz

How to make cheese chowder:

Combine water, vegetables and seasoning in large pan. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Do not drain. Make white sauce with oleo, flour and milk; add cheese. Stir until melted. Add corn and undrained vegetables. Heat. Do not boil.
