Cheese casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 3 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- minced onion - 3 Tbsp
- sharp Cheddar, grated - 1 lb
- loaf white bread Arnold - 1 item
How to make cheese casserole:
Cut bread slices into 4 squares. Fit 1/3 of bread tightly in bottom of greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, 1/3 of onion and 1/3 of cheese. Press down, repeat instructions twice. Beat eggs, add mustard, Worcestershire sauce and milk. Mix well. Pour over casserole contents, cover and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 2 hours before serving and drizzle with melted butter. One hour before serving, bake in a preheated 325° oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until firm in center.
