Ingredients/Components

  • graham cracker crumbs - 1 item
  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • cornstarch - 1/3 c
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • butter, melted - 1/2 c
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
  • small curd cottage cheese cream style - 1 lb

How to make cheese cake:

Grease a 9-inch spring pan; dust with graham cracker crumbs. Sieve cottage cheese into a large mixing bowl (I use a blender). Add cream cheese. Beat on high speed until well blended and creamy. Blend in sugar, then eggs. Reduce speed to low.

Add cornstarch, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat until blended. Add melted butter and sour cream. Blend on low speed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 325° about 70 minutes or firm around edges. Turn off oven heat; allow to stand for 2 hours in oven. Chill. Remove sides of pan. Cheese cake can be frozen.
