Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 1/4 c
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1/4 c
  • bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
  • cottage cheese - 6 oz
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 lb
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • spaghetti sauce - 4 c
  • chopped mushrooms - 1/4 lb
  • can sliced black olives - 1 1/2

How to make cheese and mushroom manicotti:

Combine all ingredients except manicotti and spaghetti sauce and set aside. Mix the spaghetti sauce with 1 cup of water. Place half in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Stuff the manicotti shells with mixture and place in tomato sauce in pan. Pour remaining sauce on top. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 375°. Remove foil and sprinkle with grated cheese and place in oven until melted.
