Cheese and corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon cubes - 2 item
- black pepper - 1 item
- parsley optional - 1 Tbsp
- shredded American cheese - 6 oz
- red pepper optional - 1/8 tsp
- medium potatoes, peeled and chopped - 3 item
How to make cheese and corn chowder:
In saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender. Stir in 2 1/2 cups milk, then the corn.In a small bowl, stir together the 1/2 cup milk and flour; stir into mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Add cheese; stir until melted. Serve with bread and green salad.
