Cheddar chowder
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 12 oz
- milk - 2 c
- salt
- flour - 1/4 c
- boiling water - 2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- sliced carrots - 1/2 c
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- diced potatoes - 2 c
How to make cheddar chowder:
Add vegetables to boiling water along with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Make white sauce of oleo, flour and milk. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add to vegetables and water. Stir in bacon. Heat, but do not boil. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Super bowl.
