Cheddar chowder
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 2 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- diced carrots - 1/2 c
- diced potatoes - 2 c
- cubed ham - 2 c
How to make cheddar chowder:
Combine water and vegetables with salt and pepper in a large pot. Boil 10 to 12 minutes. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt butter. Add flour and stir until smooth. Slowly add milk and cook until thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted. Add sauce and ham to undrained vegetables. Heat through and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Super bowl.
