Cheddar cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter - 3 tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chopped parsley - 3 Tbsp
- medium onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- drops Tabasco sauce - 5 item
- instant mashed potatoes - 1 c
- clove finely chopped garlic - 1 item
How to make cheddar cheese soup:
In 2 quart saucepan, melt butter. Saute onion over low heat for 2 minutes. Add garlic. Cook 3 minutes more. Add potatoes, broth and milk. Stir over medium heat until smooth. Simmer an additional 8 minutes. Add cheese and Tabasco sauce. Stir gently until cheese melts and soup is hot. Add salt and pepper to taste.
