Championship chocolate bars
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- unsifted flour
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
- cold margarine or butter - 1/2 c
How to make championship chocolate bars:
Heat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in margarine until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate chips; press firmly on bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.In the meantime, in same bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and nuts. Spread evenly over prepared crust. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature. Makes 24 to 36 bars.
