- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 1 pkg
- stick margarine, melted - 1 item
- tube Ritz crackers, crumbled - 1 item
- cans cream of celery soup undiluted - 2 item
- celery, cut in 1/2 inch pieces - 3 c
How to make celery casserole:
Preboil celery until tender in salted water; drain well. Layer chestnuts, celery and celery soup in casserole dish. Melt butter in pan; add almonds and brown. Stir in cracker crumbs. Spread over celery mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Fruit, Grains, Side dish.
