- salt - 1 item
- flour
- water - 1/4 c
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg, separated - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- oil for deep frying - 1 item
- firm cauliflower - 1 item
How to make cauliflower fritters:
Batter:1/2 c. flour1/4 tsp. dry mustard1 egg, separated1 Tbsp. oil1/4 c. water1/2 c. Parmesan cheese Break cauliflower into bits about 1 1/2 inches. Bring a large pan of water to a boil, salted. Add the cauliflower and return to a boil. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes until tender. Drain. Make up the batter mixing all ingredients but use only the yolk. In separate bowl, beat the egg white until stiff. Add to rest of batter. Dip a batch of cauliflower in batter and into oil about 4 minutes until golden brown.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Cauliflower.
