Cauliflower au gratin
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, diced - 1/2 c
- can diced tomatoes - 1 1/2-oz
- salt, divided - 1 tsp
- 6-oz
- saltines, crushed - 24 item
- head cauliflower cut into florets - 1 item
How to make cauliflower au gratin:
Cook cauliflower in boiling water to cover with 1/2 teaspoon salt for 5 minutes, drain. In a large bowl, stir together 1/2 teaspoon salt, butter, crackers, sugar and pepper, mix well. Stir in cauliflower, bell pepper, tomatoes, onion and 1 1/4 cups cheese. Spoon into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
