Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- dried onion flakes - 2 Tbsp
- instant chicken bouillon - 1/4 c
- thyme optional - 1 tsp
- instant nonfat dry milk - 2 c
- basil optional - 1 tsp
How to make casserole sauce mix:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in an airtight container and keep in refrigerator. This recipe makes 3 cups mix (equivalent of nine 10 1/2 ounce cans of condensed cream soup).To make the equivalent of 1 can of soup, combine 1/3 cup mix with 1 1/4 cups water in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until thick. You can also add chopped mushrooms, cooked celery or dried herbs.
