Cashew cookies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- milk
- sour cream - 1/3 c
- margarine or butter
- egg - 1 item
- margarine or butter, softened - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar - 3 c
- Bisquick baking mix - 2 c
- salted cashews halved may use unsalted cashews chopped in pieces also
How to make cashew cookies:
Browned Butter Frosting:1/3 c. margarine or butter1 1/2 tsp. vanilla3 c. powdered sugar about 2 Tbsp. milk Frosting: Heat margarine in saucepan over medium heat until light brown. Cool, stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth and spreading consistency.Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Mix baking mix, brown sugar, sour cream, margarine, egg and vanilla; stir in cashews. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheet. Cool completely. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
