Carrot pineapple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pkg - 8 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- large eggs - 4 item
- cooking oil
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- crushed pineapple with juice - 1 c
- grated carrots, packed - 2 c
- Add carrots, nuts and pineapple
How to make carrot pineapple cake:
Blend cooking oil, sugar and eggs. Add carrots, nuts and pineapple. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes in a 12 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe follows).Cream Cheese Frosting:1 box 10x sugar2 tsp. vanilla8 oz. pkg. cream cheese1 stick butter or margarine Blend all ingredients together; add 1 teaspoon milk for spreading consistency if necessary.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
