Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- unbaked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
- sliced carrots about 1 lb
How to make carrot pie:
Beat together cooked carrots, egg, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and milk smooth, using mixer, food processor or blender. Pour into pie shell and bake in preheated 450° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300° and bake an additional 50 minutes or until filling is firm. Cool on rack. Garnish with whipped topping, if desired.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Side dish, Main dish.
