Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- oil
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- walnuts - 1 c
- grated raw carrots - 3 c
How to make carrot cake:
Preheat oven to 300°. Mix together carrots, sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla, then add salt, cinnamon, flour, baking soda and walnuts. Mix well. Bake for 1 1/4 hours.Low-fat Method: Substitute applesauce for the oil, 6 egg whites instead of 4 eggs and omit the walnuts.
