Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- soda - 2 tsp
- grated carrots - 3 c
- nuts optional - 1/4 c
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- Wesson oil
- orange juice or pineapple juice - 1 item
- Add raw grated carrots and nuts
How to make carrot cake:
Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and mix with Wesson oil, sugar and eggs. Add raw grated carrots and nuts. Bake in layers from 30 to 40 minutes in 300° oven.Icing:1 lb. powdered sugar1/2 stick margarine8 oz. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla orange juice or pineapple juice1/4 c. nuts (optional) Mix together and spread between layers and on top of cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Carrots.
