Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts
- flour - 2 c
- grated carrots - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- Cream Cheese Icing - 1 item
- Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch baking pan
How to make carrot cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Beat eggs and oil in small mixing bowl. Combine flour, sugar, soda, powder, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. Add egg mixture; mix well. Stir in carrots and nuts. Pour into pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack. Spread icing on top.Cream Cheese Icing:1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1/2 c. margarine, softened1 tsp. vanilla Combine ingredients in medium bowl.
